Columbia Fuels, a privately held company based in Victoria, BC, is the largest supplier of home heating products on Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast. In addition to residential and office heating products and services, Columbia Fuels also services the commercial market with IslandPASS, Vancouver Island’s largest fuel cardlock network, and bulk fuel/lubricant supply. Established in 1993 and growing since, it is 100% Island owned and operated and now employs more than 200 employees in nine different communities.

Columbia Fuels has garnered its tremendous success through its corporate values of undying customer service (the only Vancouver Island company with 24 hour customer service and same day delivery), product and service innovation (carries exclusive home heating oil products), and community support and sponsorships (youth sports, health and social services). It has displayed environmental responsibility through choice of low sulphur oil, low emission additives and oil tank protection programs (preventing leakages).

Columbia Ice, a bottled water home delivery business, and Columbia Energy, one of BC’s first natural gas marketing services. Columbia Ice has received the Certificate of Excellence in Manufacturing, their highest honour, from the Canadian Bottled Water Association. Columbia Energy is one of the first two companies to enter into the new natural gas marketing field in the Interior and Lower Mainland of BC, finally providing choice and price security for small businesses in these regions.
